WEC: Porsche vence a caótica Seis Horas de Austin

O trio Kevin Estre/Laurens Vanthoor/Matt Campbell, no Porsche 963 #6 da Porsche Penske Motorsport, venceu a Lone Star Le Mans, prova de seis horas de duração disputada no Circuito das Américas, em Austin, no Texas, EUA, válida como sexta etapa do Campeonato Mundial de Endurance (WEC).

A chuva tornou a prova caótica, com as duas primeiras horas sendo disputadas com o Safety-Car na pista, devido a quantidade de água. Com a bandeira vermelha chegando a ser acionada.

Na parte final a chuva diminuiu de intensidade, mas a pista continuou molhada.

Estre/Vanthoor/Campbell completaram 120 voltas, vencendo com 8s625 de vantagem sobre o trio Antonio Fuoco/Miguel Molina/Nicklas Nielsen, na Ferrari 499P #50 da Ferrari AF Corse.

O trio Loic Duval/Malthe Jakobsen/Stoffel Vandoorne, no Peugeot 9X8 #94 da Peugeot TotalEnergies, completou o pódio no geral, e na classe Hypercar.

Pela classe LMGT3 vitória do trio Darren Leung/Sean Gelael/Marino Sato, no McLaren 720S #95 da United Autosports.

A próxima etapa, as Seis Horas de Fuji, no Japão, acontece no dia 28 de Setembro.
