NASCAR Cup Series: Austin Dillon vence no Texas

Austin Dillon (Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet) venceu no domingo (19/07) a O’Reilly Auto Parts 500, no Texas Motor Speedway, 18ª etapa da NASCAR Cup Series. Foi a primeira vitória de Dillon no ano, e terceira na categoria. Tyler Reddick completou a dobradinha da RCR. Joey Logano (Team Penske Ford) foi o terceiro.

Em uma prova bastante acidentada, Dillon liderou apenas 22 voltas, vencendo com 0s149 de vantagem sobre o parceiro de equipe Reddick. Logano terminou em terceiro.

Foi a primeira dobradinha da Richard Childress Racing, desde Talladega em 2011 (Clint Bowyer e Jeff Burton). Com a vitória Dillon garantiu a sua vaga para os playoffs.

Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota) terminou em quarto, seguido por Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing Ford).

Harvick lidera o campeonato com 721 pontos, seguido por Blaney com 630.
