Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe: Thomas Neubahuer/Nico Bastian e Maro Engel/Lucas Stolz vencem em Brands Hatch

As duplas Thomas Neubahuer/Nico Bastian (Mercedes AMG/AKKA) e Maro Engel/Lucas Stolz (Mercedes AMG GT3/BlackFalcon) foram os vencedores da etapa de abertura do Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe. Até o ano passado a categoria era chamada de Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup.

Neubahuer/ Bastian venceram a primeira prova (vencendo também pela classe Silver), seguidos por Engel/Stolz (vencedores na classe Pro), e Christian Engehlhart/Mirko Bortolotti (Lamborghini Huracan/Grasser).

Pela classe ProAm vitória da dupla David Perel/Rinat Salikhov (Ferrari 488/Rinaldi). Na Am, vitória da dupla Florian Scholze/Wofgang Triller (Ferrari 488/HB).

Engel/Stoltz venceram a segunda prova. Marco Mapelli/Andrea Caldarelli (Lambroghini Huracan/FFF) terminaram em segundo, seguidos por Nick Foster/Steijn Schothorst (Audi R8/Attempto).

Bastian/Neubauer terminaram em oitavo, vencendo novamente pela Silver Cup.

Pela ProAm vitória da dupla Phil Keen/Hiroshi Hamaguchi (Lamborghini Huracan/FFF). Scholze/Triller, únicos inscritos na classe, venceram na Am.

A prova foi marcada por um múltiplo acidente, que provocou a bandeira amarela, e a entrada do Safety-Car.

Engel/Stolz lideram o campeonato com 29,5 pontos, seguidos por Neubahuer/Bastian com 18,5 pontos.
