LMS: Peugeot domina a primeira fila em Montmeló

A Peugeot, com o modelo 908 do Team Peugeot Total. dominou neste sábado (05/04), o treino de classificação para a etapa de abertura do Le Mans Series, em Montmeló, na Espanha. A dupla Pedro Lamy/ Stephane Sarrazim marcou a pole, com o tempo de 1m31s875, seguida pelos companheiros Marc Gene/ Nicolas Minassian.

A segunda fila tem o Audi R10 do Audi Sport Team Joest, da dupla Rinaldo Capello/ Allan McNish, e o Lola B08/80-Aston Martin da Charouz Racing System, da dupla Stefan Mucke/ Jan Charouz.


A dupla Peter Van Merksteijn/ Jos Verstappen, num Porsche RS Spyder da Van Merksteijn, larga em 5º, com a dupla Alexandre Prémat/ Mike Rockenfeller do Audi R10 do Audi Sport Team Joest, fechando os seis primeiros.


O ex-F1 Olivier Panis estreando na categoria alinha em 7º com o Courage LC70-Judd da Oreca – Matmut. Nicolas Lapierre é seu parceiro de equipe.


Dois brasileiros disputam Á  temporada. Mario Haberfeld em dupla com Warren Hughes, num WF01-Zytek da Embassy, sai em 19º, duas posições a frente de Thomas Erdos, que junto com Mike Newton, pilota um MG Lola EX265-MG da RML.
